Localizr: Location-Based Service For Aggregating Nearby Information
As part of the course Semantic Web Technologies at the University of Mannheim, we had to create a project. I've teamed up with Martin and Anna and we created Localizr. Basically, you give Localizr a location (possibly via your GPS) and we determine interesting nearby information like the population of the city your are in, events which will take place or photos which were taken in a specific radius.
As of yesterday, we deployed the most up-to-date version of it. I am kind of proud. The interface looks really great and we accomplished to incorporate some Semantic Web Technologies. If you are interested in the source code, check it out on Github. Or fork it and create an enhanced version. That's it, have fun. You can find the webapp on http://localizr.info
