Hack: Disable Firefox Auto Zoom (Android)

I recently developed an application specifically tailored to the needs of a customer. The application should run in Firefox and Chrome on Android. However, Firefox automatically zooms without request. Depending on the case, this might not be desired.

There is a solution. It is quite dirty, but it works. Just add an extra div and some css to it. We basically widen the window making Firefox think that there is more content.

HTML

<div id="extra-space">.</div>

CSS

width: 2200px !important;
margin-top: 200px;
height: 1px;
text-align: right;
height: 1px;
display: block;
position: absolute;
top: 0;
left: 0;
text-color: #fff;
